Shereen Lim
Dr. Shereen Lim
Dr Shereen Lim is a Perth-based dentist whose career has been defined by a deep commitment to airway health and early intervention. One of Australia’s first dentists to earn a postgraduate diploma in Dental Sleep Medicine from the University of Western Australia, she has spent more than a decade working in the multidisciplinary management of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. Her expertise extends well beyond symptom management, focusing instead on the root causes of airway dysfunction—often beginning in early childhood.
Dr Lim’s clinical interests encompass tongue-tie release for patients from infancy through adulthood, palate expansion and early orthodontics to optimize jaw and airway development, sleep and airway screenings, and myofunctional therapy to improve breathing, swallowing, chewing, and speech. Her work is anchored in the belief that establishing healthy nasal breathing and proper oral function from the earliest stages of life is key to long-term wellness, learning, and restorative sleep.
Her professional journey began in 2000 when she graduated from dental school alongside her husband and future practice co-founder, Dr Alex Devellerez. Together they established Sparkle Dental in 2004, building a practice dedicated to holistic, patient-centered care. In 2013, inspired in part by her own family’s experience with snoring, Dr Lim shifted her focus to dental sleep medicine. Encounters with leading airway health experts, including Dr Christian Guilleminault, deepened her conviction that proactive, developmental approaches could prevent many of the airway problems seen in older children and adults.
Over the years, she has completed advanced training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, studied interceptive orthodontics and tongue-tie management with global leaders, and even shadowed pioneers at Stanford Medical Sleep Centre. These experiences have reinforced her dedication to collaborative, multidisciplinary care that integrates dentistry, medicine, and allied health disciplines.
Dr Lim is also an author and educator. Her book Breathe, Sleep, Thrive distills years of clinical insight into practical strategies for parents and healthcare providers. Through national conferences, virtual presentations, and media appearances, she works to spread awareness about the importance of airway health, empowering both professionals and families to recognize early warning signs and act decisively.
Her guiding philosophy is simple but transformative: when children breathe well from the start, they are better equipped to thrive for life. In every aspect of her work—from hands-on patient care to professional education—Dr Shereen Lim continues to champion an integrative, forward-thinking model that addresses the causes of poor airway health, not just its consequences.

Dentistry runs in Dr. Muntean’s blood—her father, Dr. Sorin Muntean, practiced for nearly 40 years, and her mother managed his practice. Growing up as the child of Romanian immigrants, she became fluent in both Romanian and French, bringing a unique cultural and linguistic perspective to her work. Guided by her personal philosophy of “just showing up,” she has built a career that seamlessly blends clinical excellence, leadership, mentorship, and service, embodying the best of what the dental profession has to offer.

Pascal Magne
Dr. Pascal Magne
Dr. Pascal Magne (pronounced mahn-ya) recently joined Beverly Hills Dental Lab as Director of its Center for Education and Research in Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry (CER BRD), after a long and distinguished career in dental academia and research.
Upon graduating from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, in 1989 with a Med Dent degree,he was offered a position as a lecturer at the dental school, while practicing and receiving further training in fixed prosthodontics and other technical skills. At the same time, he pursued two doctorates, one awarded in 1992 (DMD) and the other in 2002 (Ph.D.), the latter in conjunction with co-authoring the book Bonded Porcelain Restorations in the Anterior Dentition--A Biomimetic Approach, with his mentor, Professor Urs Belser, which has been translated into 12 languages. He would add to his research on dental innovations at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1997-1999, before returning to Geneva. His discoveries have been widely published, resulting in many awards.
Before his graduation from dental school, Pascal had been captivated by the beautiful photos of the lifelike porcelain restorations created by his older brother, Michel, who was the in-house technician for a dentist.
In 1991, Pascal started working with Claude Sieber using a new dental porcelain developed with Vita. It was a turning point. "For the first time I could see the porcelain of a master inside of the mouth of my own patients," he said.
Pascal was recruited as a full-time tenured faculty of the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California School in 2004, as the Don and Sybil Harrington Professor of Esthetic dentistry. During his tenure at Ostrow, Dr. Magne spearheaded a multitude of curricular innovations in the areas of biomimetics, minimally invasive dentistry, and bonding techniques. His scholarly activity during his years there yielded over 100 peer-reviewed publications and over 200 continuing education programs nationally and internationally.
As the preclinical director (2012-2020) of the Dental Morphology, Function and Esthetics module at Ostrow, Dr. Magne has also developed an innovative approach to teaching dental anatomy and morphology. In 2021, Dr. Magne published the second edition of his bestselling book entitled Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry. It has already been translated into several languages.
